An interesting discovery

Its 3.21 am and i cannot sleep, i decided to try and do some work on my seemingly never ending logo process. I was doing some research and i found this site called Pimp my safari, something to do with a web app for macs. The interesting part was the typeface and colour scheme of the logo. Take a look, notice anything familiar?





Yes thats right they use the same font and colour scheme as i have chosen for my Trent Media logo, what a coincidence! I dont know whether to be encouraged by this, that i have chosen the same style as a professional organisation or whether to be annoyed that someone else got there first.

It's interesting to note that they use grey also in and around the logo. This is something ive been considering but think that it makes it look a bit to corporate and serious. I want my logo to be professional but it still needs to appeal to my target audience which is students, it cant be too corporate or i feel it will be dismissed as boring.
